1. Scope
+This Privacy Policy applies to services, tools, pages, and features provided by Auric Artisan (the “Platform”). This includes color science tools, color-related articles and learning resources, web analysis tools, theme generation tools, palette extraction, responsive design checks, vision simulations, and exploratory utilities.
By using the Platform, you agree to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use.
2. Current Platform Status
+Auric Artisan is actively developed. The website includes public tools, account registration, sign-in, dashboard features, pricing pages, and billing pages.
Accounts, the account dashboard, API keys, and one-time purchases (plan passes and advertising bookings, processed by Razorpay) are live. Recurring subscriptions are not yet offered.
3. Data We Collect
+Auric Artisan collects only the minimum amount of data reasonably necessary to operate, secure, test, and improve the Platform.
- Usage data — First-party, consent-gated analytics events sent to our own
/api/eventendpoint: the event name, the page path (never query strings, which may carry personal data), the referrer origin, and a small set of coarse allow-listed properties such as device class. Analytics sets no cookies, does no cross-site tracking, and honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control; no consent means no events - Device data — Browser type, operating system, screen size, language preference, and general technical environment
- Tool input data — Data you submit into tools, such as colors, palettes, URLs, screenshots, generated themes, simulation settings, or analysis requests
- Communication data — Information you send through contact forms, support emails, or feedback channels
- Account data — If you create or use an account, this may include email address, display name, authentication details, session records, security events, saved preferences, and account settings
4. Web Analysis Data
+Web analysis features may process URLs, page titles, metadata, screenshots, DOM structure, visible text snippets, color palettes, performance metrics, responsive layout information, security headers, and other technical signals required to generate reports.
Web analysis may include security-oriented checks, Lighthouse-like performance review, responsive design review, palette extraction, theme suggestions, accessibility observations, and related diagnostics.
You should only submit websites, pages, or assets that you own, manage, or are authorized to test. Do not submit private dashboards, confidential pages, credentials, tokens, restricted systems, or third-party sites where you lack permission.
5. Local Storage and Preferences
+The Platform may use browser local storage, session storage, and cookies to keep the site usable and remember preferences such as theme selection, dark mode, language, layout settings, eye-rest settings, recent tool state, and consent choices.
Many preferences are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers unless required for tool operation, troubleshooting, or future account-based syncing.
6. How We Use Data
+- Service delivery — Run color tools, simulations, web analysis, palette extraction, theme generation, and page features
- Platform improvement — Understand anonymous usage patterns, diagnose issues, improve speed, and refine tool behavior
- Security — Detect abuse, prevent misuse, protect infrastructure, and troubleshoot technical problems
- Communication — Respond to contact requests, support questions, feedback, and policy-related inquiries
- Account support — Support account creation, authentication, saved projects, export history, security settings, billing status, and preference syncing where those features are enabled
We do not use personal data for behavioural profiling, invasive advertising, or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
7. No Sale of Personal Data
+Auric Artisan does not sell, rent, trade, or disclose personal data to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.
We do not participate in data broker networks, cross-site behavioural tracking programs, or behavioural advertising exchanges.
8. Advertising and Payments
+Auric Artisan offers checkout, invoice, and billing-management features for one-time purchases (plan passes and advertising bookings). Razorpay processes payment credentials directly; Auric Artisan does not store raw card numbers, UPI IDs, or bank credentials — we retain only order records such as the item purchased, amount, and payment reference.
Every tool is free on every tier; paid plans add conveniences only. Recurring subscriptions are not yet offered.
We do not use personal data for targeted advertising. If advertising features are introduced later, this Privacy Policy and related policies will be updated before or alongside those changes.
9. Security and Protection
+Data transmitted between your browser and the Platform is protected using HTTPS/TLS where supported. Sensitive operational data is protected using technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the Platform’s current stage of development.
Some tools, including vision simulations and the Ishihara-style generator, are exploratory utilities. Outputs from these tools should not be treated as medical diagnosis, clinical testing, or professional certification.
10. Third-Party Services
+The Platform uses the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare — Hosting, DNS, CDN, Workers compute, and D1 database storage for account, preference, and order data
- Razorpay — Payment processing for one-time purchases; your card, UPI, or bank credentials go directly to Razorpay and never touch our servers
- Google Fonts — Web font delivery on pages where fonts are loaded from Google’s servers; Google receives the technical request data (such as IP address) needed to serve the files
Analytics is first-party: consent-gated events go to our own /api/event endpoint and are stored in our own infrastructure — no third-party analytics scripts, no cookies, no cross-site tracking.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
11. Data Retention
+We retain data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including platform operation, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and service improvement.
- Temporary tool data — May be processed briefly to generate outputs such as reports, themes, palettes, or simulations
- Web analysis data — May be cached temporarily for processing, debugging, abuse prevention, and report generation
- Local preferences — Remain in your browser until cleared, expired, or reset by you
- Contact messages — Retained as needed to respond and maintain support records
- Anonymous analytics — May be retained longer in aggregated form
12. Your Rights
+Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- Access — Request information about personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — Request deletion of personal data where applicable
- Portability — Request a portable copy of applicable data where technically feasible
- Objection — Object to certain processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — Revoke consent where processing depends on consent
- Grievance and appeal — Raise privacy concerns and pursue available complaint or appeal routes under applicable law
- Opt out — Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising where such rights apply; Auric Artisan does not sell personal data
You can exercise privacy rights by using available Platform controls, clearing browser storage, adjusting cookie settings, or contacting us.
13. Legal Compliance
+Auric Artisan aims to handle personal data in line with applicable privacy and data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar frameworks where they apply.
Legal obligations can vary by user location, feature availability, and the type of data involved. We may update this policy as the Platform develops and additional services become available.
14. Changes to This Policy
+This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect new tools, infrastructure changes, legal requirements, or service launches.
Material changes may be communicated through the Platform, policy pages, or other reasonable channels. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
