Subscription & Billing Policy

Auric Artisan may support account registration, paid subscriptions, checkout payments, or recurring billing where those features are explicitly enabled. Billing-related features are still evolving and may be adjusted as the platform develops.

The Platform provides and develops color science tools, articles and learning resources, web analysis features, theme generation tools, palette extraction, visual simulations, and related exploratory utilities.

Pricing pages, plan names, feature tables, or service descriptions may be visible on the website for transparency, roadmap communication, design testing, active plans, or future planning.

Displayed prices, plan labels, and feature groupings are not active purchase offers unless a live checkout flow, payment confirmation, and final purchase terms are clearly presented.

Auric Artisan operates paid subscriptions, paid account upgrades, paid API access, automatic renewals, or checkout-based purchases only where those features are explicitly enabled and presented through an official checkout or billing interface.

• Payment card or financial credentials should be entered only through official payment-provider checkout flows
• Billing receipts or invoices should correspond to completed payment-provider transactions
• Cancellation or portal flows are available only for active subscriptions supported by the enabled provider

Auric Artisan offers paid plans today, billed monthly or annually, alongside one-time plan passes, token packs, and advertising bookings. Before any payment is accepted we show the plan scope, price, renewal behaviour, cancellation options, and refund rules.

The price you see is the total you pay. No GST or other tax is added at checkout, and none is collected, because Auric Artisan is not currently registered for GST. For the same reason the receipts we issue are payment receipts rather than GST tax invoices: they carry no GSTIN and no tax component, so they cannot be used to claim input tax credit. If you need a GST invoice for a business purchase, please wait until registration is in place rather than purchasing on the assumption that one will follow.

Every tool is free to use on every tier. Paid plans add conveniences — an ad-free experience, richer exports, higher usage quotas, API access — and do not gate tool access itself.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, at the price shown when you subscribed. The renewal date and amount appear at checkout and in your account's billing section. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves your plan active until the period you have paid for ends. Full terms are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Every checkout requires you to review the applicable terms before purchase.

5.1 How API usage is measured

Use of the Auric Artisan REST API is metered in API credits. One credit is one standard request; endpoints that consume more computing resources cost proportionally more credits, and the current weightings are published in the API documentation. Credits are counted per account, not per API key: all keys issued on an account draw on the same allowance.

API credits are not tokens. Tokens meter server-backed work you start in a tool on this site and are what a token pack contains; API credits meter calls your own code makes to the REST API. They are separate balances with separate allowances, neither one pays for the other, and nothing converts between them. Unless a paragraph names tokens explicitly, the terms in this section are about API credits.

Each plan that includes API access includes a monthly credit allowance, published on the Pricing page: 1,000,000 credits on Specialist and 10,000,000 credits on Industrial Pro. The allowance refreshes at the start of each billing month. Plans that do not include API access carry no allowance.

5.2 Overage is opt-in and prepaid

When an included allowance is used up, API requests are refused until the allowance refreshes. No charge arises from that refusal.

You may optionally enable pay-as-you-go overage so that requests continue past the included allowance. Overage is disabled by default and becomes active only after you enable it yourself in your account; you can disable it again at any time.

Overage is prepaid. It spends credits already purchased and held as a balance on your account, at the rate published on the Pricing page ($1.00, approximately ₹85, per 100,000 credits). If the balance does not cover a request, the request is refused rather than served.

5.3 Spend caps

You may set a monthly spend cap on overage, expressed in money, up to a maximum of $10,000. Once overage in a billing month reaches the cap, further overage requests are refused until you raise the cap or the month resets. A spend cap limits overage only; it does not restrict your included allowance.

5.4 Hard ceilings

Independently of any setting you choose, every account is subject to an absolute monthly ceiling of ten times its included allowance. Requests beyond that ceiling are refused even where a credit balance and spend cap would otherwise permit them.

The ceiling is a safety mechanism against runaway automation, retry loops, and compromised keys — it exists to protect your prepaid balance, not to restrict legitimate use. If your workload genuinely requires more, contact us and it can be raised for your account.

5.5 Expiry of allowances, purchased API credits and purchased tokens

• Included allowances do not roll over. Unused included API credits and unused included tokens expire at the end of the billing period in which they were granted. A new allowance is granted at the start of the next period.
• Purchased balances do not expire at the period boundary. API credits and tokens you have bought remain available on the account across billing periods for as long as the account remains open, and are not removed by a renewal. Each balance is spent only on its own kind of usage.
• The free Apprentice plan's starter grant is a one-time, non-renewing balance. It does not refresh monthly and is not replaced when it is spent.

5.6 Cancellation and downgrade

Cancelling a paid plan stops the next renewal charge and leaves the plan active until the end of the period already paid for. When that period ends, the plan's included API allowance ends with it, and the account can no longer make metered API requests unless it is on a plan that includes API access.

Purchased API credits are not forfeited on cancellation or downgrade. They remain on the account and become spendable again if the account returns to a plan that includes API access. Downgrading replaces the included allowance with the lower plan's allowance from the start of the next billing period; it does not remove API credits you have already bought.

Whether a purchase can be refunded, including unused prepaid API credits and unused tokens, is governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5.7 Previously sold unlimited API access

Industrial Pro was previously advertised as including unlimited API requests. That commitment is honoured: Industrial Pro subscriptions created before 12 August 2026 retain that allowance and are metered at 1,000,000,000 credits per billing month — a hundred times the current included figure. At the plan's rate limit that is not reachable with standard requests, though sustained image or asynchronous-job traffic, which carry higher per-request weightings, could reach it. The finite allowance described in section 5.1 applies to subscriptions created on or after 12 August 2026.

5.8 Changes to API credit terms

API credit weightings, included allowances, and the overage rate may change as the service develops. Material changes are published on the Pricing page, in the API documentation, and in this policy. Credits already purchased retain the number of credits they were bought as; a change in pricing does not reduce a balance already held.

Paid plans include an ad-free browsing option. Advertisements shown to free users are limited, consent-gated, and described in the relevant privacy, cookie, and platform policies.

We do not use private user data for advertising profiles, and paid plans are not presented as a way to opt out of hidden tracking.

If you see a charge that appears to reference Auric Artisan, contact us through the contact page with the date, amount, payment provider, and any available transaction reference.

Reported charges will be reviewed against official checkout records, payment-provider data, account status, possible impersonation, provider issues, or unauthorized activity.

Auric Artisan is still developing its infrastructure and service model. Features may be experimental, unavailable, limited, revised, or removed as the Platform evolves.

Web analysis features may include security checks, performance-style analysis, responsive design review, palette extraction, metadata review, and related inspections. These tools are intended for sites or assets the user owns or is authorized to analyze.

Ishihara-style generators, vision simulations, and color models are exploratory tools and do not replace medical-grade tests, clinical diagnosis, or certified professional systems.

This policy may be updated as Auric Artisan’s infrastructure, account registration process, checkout system, pricing, or service model evolves. Material changes will be reflected on the Platform.
